Chile is one of the 21 members of APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation), which is the premier forum for facilitating economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region. APEC membership gives Chile access to over 50% of the world's GDP.

Chile has already signed trade agreements with many of the members and hopes to reach agreements with all members in the near future.

Likewise, Chile has already built strong trade ties with China, including a free trade agreement which makes approximately 92% of exports tariff free. Additionally, InnovaChile recently launched a platform for food exports to China. Operating out of Shanghai, this will serve as a direct distribution and marketing platform for food products to China.
