JP Morgan opens new regional IT Center in Chile
Published: August 28, 2008

The investment bank JP Morgan has decided to expand its information technology (IT) development center in Chile, in operation since 2006, in order to support its business units in countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Colombia.
The operation will triple the number of professionals and engineers employed, bringing the figure from 40 to 120 over four years. The decision to expand in Chile is the result of an evaluation process involving various countries in the region that ultimately opted to set up two centers, one in Santiago and the other in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The decision confirms Chile as "the bank's main location for technology in Latin America. The country is seen as reliable and competitive".
