Global Services Strategic Council
In November 2007, the Strategic Public-Private Council of Global Services (Global Services Strategic Council) was established with the goal of designing and implementing measures to aid the development and expansion of the industry in Chile. The Global Services Strategic Council is divided into four committees which are responsible for human capital, international promotion, local industry development, and infrastructure and regulation. The council members include company and business association representatives, academics, and government officials.
The Councilīs main responsibility is the validation of the lines of action outlined in the Cluster Program Strategic Agenda. Council members also work to articulate, coordinate and strengthen the conditions of the public and private institutional framework around the cluster, and serve as a communication channel for companies involved in the cluster.
The Councilīs objective is to develop the offshoring sector and reach annual exports of at least US$ 5 billion and 100.000 employees by 2015.
